The Brubeck brothers played a memorable concert at Rhosygilwen last year and return on the 1st June with Darius Brubeck and his quartet playing to what will likely be a sell out house. He is accompanied by Dave O’Higgins, the remarkable saxophonist who was in last year’s line up, bassist Matt Ridley and Wesley Gibbins on drums.

Darius Brubeck: Pianist, Composer and Fulbright Professor of Jazz Studies was the Director of the Centre for Jazz & Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa until 2006 when he moved to London and established the highly successful Darius Brubeck Quartet.

Dave O'Higgins: Dave is an established saxophonist on the international jazz scene, having recorded 12 albums as leader. He began with the UK’s National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Cleo Laine and went on to work with, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Salif Keita, Kyle Eastwood, Jamie Cullum, Brubecks Play Brubeck and the BBC Big Band to name a few. In his home city, London, Dave is a regular guest with the esteemed house band at Ronnie Scott’s and leads The Dave O’Higgins Septet, which showcases his arranging talents.
