Coming up in the Cellar Bar, under the Castle Café, Cardigan we have multiple treats for real music lovers. Real live musicians at the top of their craft after many years honing their skills. On Sunday 1st June at 7.30pm onward we have a performance from the man known as ‘Stompin’ Dave Allen’. He lives up to his name with a rip roaring mix of bluegrass banjo, fiddle and, at the same time and without a safety net(!) step dancing. Sounds kooky? Well it is sort of but it works and he is that very rare mix of a seasoned, great performer and a fantastic musician. Need more persuading, look him up on that well known search engine. Tickets are just £5.00 on the night (if available) or better still in advance from the Castle Café or our website (where you can purchase fee free) www.castlecafeandcellarbar.com.

4th June is the date for your diaries – Angela Brown & The Mighty 45’s will be in the Cellar with her superlative old style blues singing. From Chicago, Illinois she was dubbed “the Bessie Smith of the 80’s” and well does she deserve that title given her strong renditions of vaudeville blues material; her powerful voice is also well-suited to more modern blues styles. If you love your blues, this lady is the real deal. Tickets are £10 and going fast.
