Professor Sioned Davies (6128424)
Professor Sioned Davies, Chairman of Welsh at Cardiff University, will give a talk (in Welsh) in Moylegrove on May 28, 7.30pm, on “Sir Benfro’r Mabinogion.”
Professor Davies is a leading authority on the Mabinogion. Brought up in Lanbrynmair and Trallwm, she graduated in Welsh and researched the tales of the Mabinogion to gain her doctorate at Linacre College, Oxford.
“We’re very pleased to have such an eminent speaker on a subject so basic to our culture” said Helen Owens, coordinator of Welsh events at Moylegrove Old School Hall.
Sioned’s talk will discuss “Ai tirlun Sir Benfro oedd yr ysbrydoliaeth ar gyfer hud a lledrith y Mabinogion?”
