Theatr Gwaun will feature BBC Young folk performers of the year, as part of the popular Fishguard Folk Festival.
Fishguard's community venue plays host to two great acts on May 24, 7.30pm.
First on stage are winners of the BBC 2013 young folk award, Russell & Algar. In 2011 multi-instrumentalist Ciaran Algar (Fiddle, Bouzouki, Guitar, Vocals) met and joined forces with Greg Russell (Vocals, Guitar, Bouzouki, English Concertina) to form a brand new duo. Northwich Folk Club saw the pair’s first live performance and since then they haven’t looked back, receiving great reviews from live performances all over the country.
They will be followed by The Urban Folk Quartet, who are guaranteed to raise the roof. Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigás, Tom Chapman and Dan Walsh are The Urban Folk Quartet. Four highly accomplished musicians, a dozen instruments and four voices coming together to craft a knockout show of globally–influenced, electrifying acoustic music that has been taking the international folk scene by storm.
Tickets are£10.
