It’s a bit of a mission to see all the “big” films that come out around the time of the Oscars and BAFTAs, and inevitably one or two get lost.
If that’s the case for you, here’s a chance to catch up with one of the most stylish and clever of this year’s crop, the marvellous American Hustle (15).
With stand-out performances from local boy Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and a remarkable Oscar-nominated supporting “turn” from the current Hollywood darling Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle combines the traditional heist movie with mobsters, the FBI, the mafia – and a truly extraordinary ‘70s look and soundtrack.
American Hustle (15) is showing at Theatr Gwaun Fishguard, for one night only, on Thursday May 15.
Tickets are £5.50 and can be reserved at the Theatr Gwaun box office, on 01348 873421.
