Fluellen Theatre Company presents Bertolt Brecht’s The Resistable Rise Of Arturo Ui, atTheatr Gwaun on May 1, 7.30pm.
Arturo Ui is a small-time gangster in 1930`s Chicago. Like Al Capone and John Dillinger before him, he wants to make it big. So what better way than by taking over, by foul means of course, the greengrocery concession? The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui is a savage and witty parable of the rise of Hitler, and Fluellen capture the comedy without diminishing the horror of the real-life Nazi protagonist.
This is a real treat for Pembrokeshire, to see one of Brecht’s finest plays superbly performed by the Swansea Grand’s “house company”.
Tickets are £10 or £5 for students and can be reserved at the Theatr Gwaun Box Office.
