Filmed live at the Richard Rogers Theatre on Broadway in November 2013, it features Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings) as Romeo and two-time Tony Award® nominee Condola Rashad as Juliet. ELTON JOHN - THE MILLION DOLLAR PIANO

Theatr Mwldan will screen Elton John’s Million Dollar Piano (12A) on Saturday 2 April at 8.25pm.

World-renowned singer, songwriter and performer, the legendary ELTON JOHN performs his critically acclaimed The Million Dollar Piano concert from The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Currently being performed to standing ovations during Elton’s residency at Caesar’s Palace and includes all of Elton’s greatest hits from throughout his career including ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Tiny Dancer’, ‘Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting’, ‘I’m Still Standing’, ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’, ‘Crocodile Rock’ and ‘Your Song’.

At the centrepiece of the performance is the show’s namesake piano, an engineering marvel featuring more than 68 LED video screens created by Yamaha. Nearly four years in the making, the state-of-the-art piano is the perfect accompaniment to Elton’s greatest hits displaying imagery to complement the entertainer’s fan favourites, creating a whimsical, one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.

On Tuesday 8 April at 8.35pm and Thursday 17 April at 8.40pm Mwldan will also screen a stunning new concert film by Peter Gabriel, Back To Front. Filmed live at the O2 London and directed by BAFTA winning director Hamish Hamilton, Back To Front is a visual and narrative feast that places the viewer right at the heart of the concert experience.

This concert celebrates one of the most pioneering and innovative artists of modern times. The film captures the excitement of a spectacular live performance, but also brings a deeper insight into Peter Gabriel the artist by expanding on many of the live show’s themes through its use of subtle reportage and supplementary interviews with all the key protagonists.

Peter Gabriel reunited with his original touring band from 1986 to mark the 25th anniversary of the landmark album So and the performance includes previously unreleased and re-imagined songs sit effortlessly beside classic hits from throughout his illustrious career, Solsbury Hill, Digging in the Dirt, Sledgehammer, Mercy Street and Don’t Give Up.
