Span Arts are proud to welcome the return of the “8-headed ska hip-hop dub monster” Babyhead!

On March 14 they’ll be bringing a live show full of new material with support from local bands and DJs, to the Queens Hall, Narberth.

The Bristol-based band has been at the forefront of the UK movement in absolutely genre-mashing bands for the last 20 years. Their unbelievable mix of ska, hip hop, reggae and rock making them firm festival favourites and nominees for best ‘Feel Good Act’ at the UK Festival Awards. Babyhead have always been able to rock any crowd!

The 8-piece has been extending its “skank-rock tentacles” to the ears of the UK and beyond for over a decade, with a reputation for hammering sound systems in Bristol to beyond. The UK Reggae Guide describes them as “an electrifying swagger of musical pleasure” but they go far beyond a single genre.

Babyhead are stripping back their music to create a deeper, heavier sound while maintaining their exhilarating level of energy in their live performances. Their new material ranges from hyper-interactive jump-up ska, horn-blasting skank-rock to a bass-driven “hip-hopumentary” on love, life and politics in these revolutionary times.

With support from two of Pembrokeshires’ most energetic bands, Beneath the Reef and Blitz, and also local DJs, this is sure to be an epic night of jumping, moving and grooving that won’t be forgotten for a long time!

Advance tickets are always cheaper, at £10/£8 for concessions and members, with prices higher on the door. Be sure to book yours now by contacting the Span Arts box office at info@span-arts.org.uk or calling us on 01834 869323.
