Once you’re out of high school, Valentines can seem a bit of a drag – with restaurants booked out months in advance (and eye-watering “special menus”), and even traditional cards costing a fortune.
So if you fancy something pocket-friendly, but still cosy and feel-good, Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard is showing one of the great rom-coms of all time, just for you! Moonstruck (PG) starring Cher and Nicolas Cage, tells the story of a Brooklyn Book-keeper who decides to marry for companionship, and then falls head over heels for her fiancé’s brother. Needless to say it all ends happily-ever-after – otherwise it wouldn’t be a film for valentine’s night!
To top it off, the Theatr Gwaun bar will be open before the film, so treat your valentine to a drink, rather than just popcorn!
