Anne Garside will recount some of the colourful stories of Ian Fleming at Moylegrove Village Hall on January 28, 7.30pm.

Ian Fleming wrote his James Bond books in Jamaica, where some of the movies were filmed.

Anne, who lived in Jamaica for six years as Caribbean representative for Oxford University Press, will recount some of the stories Fleming left behind him.

Entry is £3, children free.

A two-day Balkan harmonies singing workshop will be held at the hall from February 1, 10am.

Abbie Lathe is a fabulous teacher with more than 20 years experience in teaching and performance. Her workshops are always great fun.

This two-day workshop in Bulgarian and Balkan harmonies is aimed at people who have done some singing, such as in a community choir.

On Fri 14 February 14 at 7.30pm there will be a Blast from the Past, with a A Brief History of Music.

Presenting 600 years of musical history in 90 minutes, this fun and fast moving show combines the vigour of the medieval period, the musical intricacy of the Renaissance, the grandeur of the Baroque and the pomp and bombast of Victoriana. Plus the wit of Blackadder and 1066 And All That!

Tunes, songs and humour and a bewildering array of instruments.
