GWYN Ashton, travelling maestro of blues rock, will perform at the Cellar Bar, Cardigan this Saturday, November 23.

Born locally in Wales, raised in Australia, relocated back to the UK and still gigging all over the world, Gwyn Ashton has been on the circuit for decades. During that time he has supported and played with some truly prominent musicians in the blues rock world, a list including the likes of Van Morrison, Johnny Winter, Canned Heat, BB King and Status Quo.

Hauling his beaten up National Steel guitar and ’63 Strat around the world for the last 20 years he has opened for some of the biggest names in the guitar business including at the prestigious Wembley Area, as well as touring solo throughout the UK and Europe.

Typical Ashton style emulates the core values of classic riff driven guitar mayhem and blues patterning, whilst bringing something new to the table. Sure to enthuse any classic blues rock fans out there, keeping it stylish and traditional unlike some of the modern day blues influenced bands.

To date he has released, or been featured on 16 albums recording with the likes of Don Airey, Gerry McAvoy, Kim Wilson and many others.

Currently in the middle of a packed UK and European tour (147 dates and still adding more) he will be joining the long list of musicians to fall under the spell of the Cellar Bar, Cardigan.

Advance tickets £5, on the night (if available) £6
