I’ll Be There Now in a Minute! is the latest comedy from the team behind Whose Coat is that Jacket? in 2012.
Writer Jack Llewellyn brings the lovable Williams family back to the Welsh stage and to Theatr Mwldan on September 20 and 21 at 7.30pm. It’s Trimsaran meets Tenerife with outrageous consequences!
For Dai the most exotic thing he’s done in the past 30 years is have pineapple instead of egg with his gammon and a weekend at Barry Island was as far-flung as they got. But this year Angharad has put her foot down, they’re going abroad!
As the title suggests, the show is typically Welsh, and brings us the archetypal Welsh family values and humour we all know and love! This time the Williams family are off on holiday to Tenerife - their first holiday abroad in years! It proves to be quite an ordeal, with hilarious events happening during the week.
Swansea born playwright and Artistic Director of Frapetsus, Jack Llewellyn said: “I wrote I’ll Be There Now in a Minute! following the success of Whose Coat is That Jacket? last autumn. After seeing the characters come alive on stage and noticing audiences frequently relating with the Williams family I felt excited about putting pen to paper with the sequel. I’m sure that many of us can relate to the family dynamics of the Williams', as I could myself while writing and felt that a sequel was a great opportunity for us all to get to know them a little better!”
The cast features the former Capital Gold and Real Radio presenter Tony Wright, who is returning to the stage after a three year break. He stars alongside Sara Harries-Davies, who has appeared in S4C dramas Cowbois ac Injans and Y Pris and the playwright himself, Jack Llewellyn also takes to the stage as the Williams’ son.
Join the Williams family on their trip to Tenerife for belly aching laughter and a fun night out! Expect nothing less than a night of hilarity, some heart rending moments and the sharpest of one-liners.
