SUNDAY 22nd March; New Quay 11 am - Family Service for Mothering Sunday in English. Everyone welcome. 5-30 am Christianity Explored Course, held in the Church Hall. Cross Inn 9-45am - Holy Communion in Welsh and English. Llanina 2-30pm - Evening Prayer in English. Lent Fellowship Groups continue - anyone interested in joining one of the three house groups please contact the Rectory: Tel. 01545 560059.A young people's Bible Study is held each Monday at 4pm in the Rectory and Prayer Meeting on Tuesdays at 7am.also at the Rectory. Alcoholics Annonomous meets weekly, contact Tel. 01545 560059. The Churches in New Quay are praying for persecuted Christians around the world during this time of Lent, and the work of Barnabas Fund, which gives aid wherever it is needed. Please feel welcome to come along to any of our services during this time before Easter. Fire at New Quay Yacht Club

Fire crews from New Quay and Aberaeron were called to New Quay Yacht Club on Monday last week. The fire was thought to have started in a light fitting.

New Quay volunteer RNLI crew locate crashed base jumper

New Quay's all-weather and inshore RNLI lifeboats were launched at 3.45pm yesterday afternoon (11 February), following reports a man jumping from cliffs attached to a parachute had crashed. Milford Haven Coastguard requested the launch of both New Quay RNLI lifeboats after the alarm was raised about the incident, which happened on 500 metre high cliffs between the 'Old Lookout' and Cymtudu.

Chimey fire at Llannon

11:33am Thursday 29th January 2009

Aberaeron firefighters put out a chimney fire at Lavant in Llannon at 6pm last night. A chimney rod and pump were used to ease the fire.
