Her gratefulness to Morriston Hospital for giving back her independence spurred Mrs May Davies, Awel Deg, Newport to make it known to family and friends that any monetary gifts received by her on her 90th birthday would go to the Cardiac Unit at that hospital.
She was overwhelmed however, and very grateful to everyone, that the total received came to over £2,000. It was with great pleasure therefore that she presented the cheque to Dr Mark Anderson, the very person that had helped her on her way to recovery. She was assured that the money would be put to good use in purchasing a piece of equipment in the Arrythmia Department.
