The last two meetings of 2008 took place on 20th November and 18th December.
At the November meeting the talk was given by Mrs Hilary Wheeler (member) who related a true story from the WW1- The Gallipoli campaign in 1915.
In December, the meeting took place at the Church Chapel, Newport, when a Christmas Tea Party was provided by the Rector, Rev Neil Llewelyn and his wife, Lynda, assisted by daughter Joanna.
Two members have recently moved away, Mrs EnidDavies and Mrs Gill Baker will be greatly missed. The first meeting in 2009 will be a service of Holy Communion at St. Brynach’s Church, Dinas at 2pm on Thursday 15th January 2009.
