Keep Llangrannog Tidy A number of volunteers work hard to keep the village, the seashore and the local areas tidy and as free of rubbish as possible. It can at times be a very disheartening job but the reward of seeing a beautiful clean and tidy village are great. If anyone is interested in joining a group of people to do the foot-slogging work of picking up litter and dog mess in the village, on the cliff paths and surrounding lanes, please can you contact Anne Greig (654257). Nôl a Mla’n The Festival is on Saturday June 20th, with stalls and activities in the village from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and live music during the evening. Further details from Sara Beechey at Y Llong/The Ship (01239 654510).
Book on Llangrannog A book about life in Llangrannog has gone into a second edition and is a "must read". Seventeen-year-old Sheila Collins (later Barry) came to Penrallt Farm in 1946 and has recorded her experiences in the book "There’s a Calf in the Sitting Room". Numbers of local residents, past and present, can be found in the book, which is published by Breedon Books at £9.99.
Crannog Writing Group The next meeting of the Writing Group will, for the first time, be in an evening. Date: Tuesday June 23rd, at 7 p.m. in St. Carannog’s Hall (parking in the top/free car park). Queries to Anne Greig (654257) or Eileen Jones (654124). The theme of the evening will be Dramatic Monologues, and a workshop will be led by David Karlsson.
