The County Council have reiterated that the "sea wall" is a "highway" and not a "sea defence" and a new survey of the West Wales coast, due soon, will give a forecast for the next 20, 50 and 100 years. In the meantime the Committee have requested grouting to fill holes. The Committee decided they felt unable to take responsibility for Canolfan Crannog but Aneirin Thomas will join the Centre’s steering committee. The Park and Ride scheme is hopeful for the summer holidays this year with the bus available for local groups when it is not needed for Park and Ride. The Neighbourhood Watch scheme is now running, but there will be a public meeting and leaflets to all houses to let everyone know about it. The Rowing Club has now taken part in several races. The remaining work on the ramp to the beach has been completed but the attempt to mend the shower failed, and as yet there are no parking spaces for disabled people, all of which affects the Blue Flag status. Sebastien Boyeson has agreed to do the work on the Lime Kiln and will provide a paper design before engraving takes place. Roy Tarbutt and Martin Greig can offer help to older people who are having difficulties with the digital switchover, due in this area in August. A donation has been received from the Sylvesters at Swn y Don as no-one has been able to take up their offer of using their cottage, and they have been thanked on behalf of the Committee. The lifeguards will now be under the RNLI and they will bring a mobile shelter to be parked by the Sianty, taking the place of a bench/benches which are there at the moment. Philippa Gibson is leaving the Committee and in future Roy Tarbutt will take the minutes and Cynyr Ifan (as Acting Secretary) will type and translate them.
