Bus Timetable Changes The 552 bus from Llangrannog on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays has had a number of changes to its timings and route. The main points of note are that in Cardigan the bus no longer picks up in the High Street but leaves from Finch Square, at 1.24 (Tuesdays and Fridays). Also note that Tesco is now a request stop. The Wednesday Aberaeron bus now returns at 1.10.

Local Police Surgery A local Police surgery will be held in Llangrannog on 16th November at 1 p.m. If there are queries or problems you wish to raise with the Police, this is the opportunity.

Macmillan Coffee Morning The Welfare Committee’s Coffee Morning, held in Y Caban at the end of September, raised nearly £400. There were a large number of generously donated raffle prizes, and plenty of supporters, including visitors to the village. Special thanks to Roy and Jan for organising it, and to Jane and Debbie for providing the refreshments.

The Cardi Bach has stopped running but there are still buses each week from Llangrannog. On Tuesdays and Fridays the bus goes into Cardigan at 9.38 from the Ship, returning at 1.25 from Cardigan. It leaves Llangrannog to go back to Cardigan at 2.23, along the main road. On Wednesdays a bus goes into Aberaeron at 10.31, returning at 1.20 to arrive at 2.10 and go on into Cardigan. Use them or lose them! If anybody over the age of 60 needs help to get their bus pass application form, please contact Anne or Martin Greig (01239 654257) who will download one for you from the internet.

The Welfare Committee has been nominated for consultation with regard to the Cardigan Bay Shoreline Management Plan.

Roy Tarbutt has written to Ceredigion. C.C., listing properties regularly damaged by sea water. This will help in the preparation of a cost/benefit report for future remedial work. Andy Irvine (Environment Agency) visited, and stated he would organise an early warning system for possible flooding events in Llangrannog and will also offer free floodgates for vulnerable doorways. The Park and Ride trial scheme had hoped to have two part-time drivers with back up from members of the Community Transport Group. Work on the statue progresses well. The Rowing Club continues to grow and now has veteran and junior teams in training. The Blue Flag has been flying but will be lost next year if disabled parking bays are not in place by then.

Bishop Wyn Evans will visit Penbryn Church for on Sunday October 11th at 11.00 for a special service of thanksgiving after the renovation work on the Church. At the kind invitation of St. Michael’s there is no service in St. Carannog’s that day so as to be able to join with the people of Penbryn on their special day.
