Seven Pembrokeshire writers are showcasing their work at a book signing coffee morning at the Royal Oak, Fishguard on Thursday, 23rd April. The event will include short readings and visitors will have the opportunity not only to buy signed copies of the books but also to meet and chat with the authors. Doors open at 10am and the event is open to all. The occasion will mark the formal launch of two illustrated collections of poetry and a short story, published by the group’s publishing imprint, Acorns Publishing.

All the writers are members of Fishguard Acorns Writers’ Support Group and their books reflect the wide range of writing skills and interests shared by the group, from poetry and fantasy to fiction, non-fiction and life stories.

Among the books on display will be the Honno anthology In Her Element, to which two Acorns members, Gwyneth Evans and Jackie Williamson contributed. Memory Seeds, an illustrated collection of poetry and nonsense verse. By Jackie Williamson with illustrations by Lesley Hall-Wood Fruit and Thorns, an illustrated collection of poetry.
