Year 6 pupils from the primary schools visited Ysgol Bro Gwaun on the 3rd July. The pupils worked in teams using thinking skills to solve problems in a Maths Challenge Competition. Certificates were awarded to the members of the winning teams. The pupils also participated in a Treasure Hunt, with all teams successfully locating the treasure.

On Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June, the Year 10 GCSE Geography group accompanied by Mr Haynes and Ms Fulthorpe carried out fieldwork on the River Gwaun. The groups were collecting a range of primary data in order to answer a series of hypothesis. Work on writing up the findings will now begin in earnest.

Matthew Morgan a Year 10 pupil at Ysgol Bro Gwaun recently captained Pembrokeshire U-15’s Cricket team to a convincing win against Cardiff & Vale.

WINNERS of THE BATTLE of the BANDS 2009 Last weekend SUZZANE MCGREGOR and LUCINDA JOHN-DUARTE, performed at and were successful in winning the prestigious "Battle of the Bands" competition in Fishguard. The girls won the first prize of £350. They now progress to another national competition in , on. We wish them every success.

Ten Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils from Ysgol Bro Gwaun competed in the 5x60 Street Dance Competition at Fishguard Leisure Centre recently. They competed against pupils from STP, Preseli, Milford, Greenhill and Pembroke School's in two categories, Quads and Group Dances. All performed really well. The participants were: Alys Lewis, Callum Morris, Cara Morris, Sam Harries, Lauren James, Shaquille Williams, Fay Ford, Eilish John, Elen Rees, and Carly Lamb.
