A TENSE FINISH to the Crymych Thursday Leisure Leagues season is guaranteed, with three sides in with a shout of the title going into the final game of the season.

Academia del Tufton are narrow favourites on virtue of their one-point lead at the summit, and they had Oliver Evans to thank for their 10-6 demolition of Preseli Panthers.

But Stallion Men, who held their nerve to claim a 4-1 victory over Boncath, are only a point behind and bettering Tufton’s result on the final day will could bring them the title.

Ticklers, who sneaked through 1-0 against We’ll Think of Something thanks to the form of Trevor Hutchings, are level on points with Stallion and could also take the title, although their goal difference is against them should they tie with their nearest rivals.

Elsewhere, Rhodri Lewis was the star of the show for White Stars as they raced to an 8-2 mauling of Goat.
