FRIENDS support inspires Small World Theatre and a new programme in 2015

Small World Theatre have finally got round to launching their FRIENDS annual membership 2015 - 2016. Joining the scheme and supporting Small World is a wonderful, social and supportive thing to do at a time when the arts are suffering from severe funding cuts and independent arts organisations like theirs are struggling to keep going.

Wrws on the red carpet

Past and present pupils from Ysgol Eglwyswrw attended a very special 'Oscar' style award ceremony to celebrate their work in film and live performances. 'The Wrws' ceremony, with red carpet, popcorn and mini Oscars presented to the stars of the night, was a night to showcase 3 films created by staff and pupils from the school. The evening was completed with the current Year 6 pupils performing their 'live' performance of William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'.

Sparkling year ahead for Rhosygilwen

Medals for swimmers

Pictured are Dafydd Nicholls, Elin Nicholls, Megan Fletcher, Chloe Fletcher, Cara Jones, Luke Jones, Lol Maskell, Ffion Evans, Ruben Kruger and William Dauncey who were part of a small team from Cardigan Swimming Club who participated in this years West Wales Sub Regional Competition in Haverfordwest. Medalists were Dafydd Nicholls who won Gold in 200 Breast, Silver in 50 Free and Bronze in 100 Fly, Ruben Kruger won Gold in 100 Fly, Silver in 100 Back, and Bronze in 100 Breast. Chloe Fletcher won Gold in 200 Fly and Silver in 400 I.M. Congratulation to all who took part over the weekend with some fantastic personal best times achieved. Well known local journalist dies

Well-known local journalist over many years Barry Walsh died peacefully at his Greenland Meadows home in Cardigan on Friday after an illness borne with fortitude aged 73.
